Don't leave home without it! Choose a light coloured one so you can use it for sun protection too.

I mostly use it as a bandana when climbing/ cycling/ skiing/ whatever.

It dries very fast (I just flip it over to the dry end).

When it gets really cold I slide it down my neck (letting it cover my chin or even my nose) and put a heavier hat on.

It fits great under climbing / cycling helmets too.

Versatile
The most versatile piece of kit I own and it ways next to nothing. Ideal as a hat, balaclava or scarf its the perfect multi-functional piece of clothing for summer use. Also works great for keeping the midges off your face!

buff's rock
also they have winter buffs with a little more 'mustard' for warmth. Everyone should own a couple.

Always wear it!
I've gotten just about everyone I hike and climb with to get a buff. It keeps sweat out of your eyes when you trail run or hike. If you pass by a stream, get it wet and put it around your neck to cool your core. If it's winter, put it around your neck to keep you warm, then you can cover your nose and mouth with it in the wind. Bam. All season gear!

Amazing
This rocks hands down. If you don't have one, get one. This is the most versatile all-season piece of gear I own and it is always proving useful in any conditions.

Essential
Always have it with me, always have it on. Super useful and super versatile. The UV one works fantastic and is highly breathable. Often wear it as a mouth and ear shield on mountains to prevent the ghastly windburn problem whenever the wind kicks up - but even so, it doesn't impede hard breathing whatsoever despite feeling tight around your face. I have yet to use it in all variations, but so far this piece of gear is awesome. Highly recommend. They may seem steep cost-wise, but so worth their cost and more. I'll also add that the magnitude of screen-print design options to choose from are awesome.
