This was a mixed adventure of sorts. We started trip with hiking this mountain in mind, but added some geocaching to entice us up the mountain, but the cache wasn't the only thing to find. First was the actual path to the summit. After parking and running across the road, started our way up. We found a couple of decaying deer on the side of the trail, which was interesting explaining to the kids. The hike turned out to be more that the kids could handle and almost more than the wife could handle. Of course, having left the child carrier at home, I had to bring one on the shoulders and one in the front a good ways up the mountain. But on we go. Nearing the false summit, we found the cache which inspired us to hit the top in record time. We left a couple of rocks on the piles, took some pcitures and the kids got a kick out of the highpoint certificate.
