Overview

This is a trapezoid shaped mountain that stands quite impressive, between the "Valle delle Mine" and the "Val Nera".

It is one of the highest peaks with Pizzo Filone and Piz Paradisin group, of the mountains section, enclosed between the Livigno valley and the Val Viola.

The western side is composed of steep meadows untill the rocky summit, while the east side is more rocky and cragged, and contains some small snowfields.

The climbing of this mountain is not a particular goal, and it can be easily climbed from the western slope in summer and autumn.
While in spring, it offers an interesting ski mountaineering itinerary, with two variants of descent.
