Overview
This is a trapezoid shaped mountain that stands quite impressive, between the "Valle delle Mine" and the "Val Nera".It is one of the highest peaks with Pizzo Filone and Piz Paradisin group, of the mountains section, enclosed between the Livigno valley and the Val Viola.
The western side is composed of steep meadows untill the rocky summit, while the east side is more rocky and cragged, and contains some small snowfields.
The climbing of this mountain is not a particular goal, and it can be easily climbed from the western slope in summer and autumn.
While in spring, it offers an interesting ski mountaineering itinerary, with two variants of descent.

Hike route:From Livigno village - road to Forcola pass - path n. 107 to bocchetta Val Nera - leave the path and point directly to the summit. (EE)
Ski route:
From Livigno village - Hotel Forcola - get the Val Vago - climb the easy slope pointing the summit. (BS)

AccomodationsNo refuges or bivouacs in the area. But wide choice of accomodations in Livigno village. Also few campings around the hamlet of Tresenda and Palipert open 12/12.
