Overview

This is a new Via Ferrata in the Brenta Group opened in 2010. It connects Bocca Armi to the Orsi path. It is short, steep with 4 long ladders.
It can be made as a short trip between Rif. Pedrotti and Rif. Alimonta. A nice alternative to Bocchette Centrali if the weather is bad.

Getting There

Starting points are:

Rifugio Brentei
From Madonna di Campiglio: Taxi/Bus to Rifugio Valsinella (1513m), then path 317 to Rifugio Casinei and path 318 to Brentei (2182m) (2h walk).

Rifugio Alimonta
From Rifugio Brentei: One hour to Rif. Alimonta (2580m) .

Rifugio Pedrotti
From Molveno: via path 332 to Rifugio Selvata, then path 319. Total 1550m acent.
From Madonna di Campiglio: via Rifugio Brentei and then path 318 (total 3 - 4h).

Route Description

Short steep Via Ferrata with 4 long ladders. Well secured with rubber stoppers on all steep cables.
It is well marked and signed both from Bocca Armi and from new junction on Orsi path.

Essential Gear

Via ferrata slings and helmet on the Via Ferrata itself. Crampons might be needed on the glacier betwwen Bocca Armi and Refugio Alimonta if hard snow/ice.
