OfflineA Little About Me
IN MEMORY OF PATTY RAMBERT
Patty Rambert died in an accidental fall on Mount Mendel in California's Sierra mountains. Details can be found in this thread, which also includes plenty of accolades from fellow climbers as well as Patty's daughter, Heather. She was well known and deeply loved within the California mountaineering community, and her experience and ability were highly regarded by her peers. Patty had climbed over 200 Sierra peaks and was Chairperson of the Sierra Peak Section of the Sierra Club.
"Oh, those vast, calm, measureless mountain days, inciting at once to work and rest! Days in whose light everything seems equally divine, opening a thousand windows to show us God. Never more, however weary, should one faint by the way who gains the blessings of one mountain day; whatever her fate, long life, short life, stormy or calm, she is rich forever." John Muir
The SP community was shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss, and heartfelt condelences are extended to Patty's family from SP's members and staff.
