The pack is perfect for non-technical peak bagging and day hiking which is what I use it for. It is very comfortable and rides low which puts the weight on the hips. The disadvantage is that the low-rider pack interferes with a climbing harness. The Quickstash is like a shove-it pocket. It does not hold a rope very well but does great with a shell or fleece top. Otherwise, the cargo section of the pack is fantastic, with lots of pockets, straps, and a daisy chain. I love the idea of a gallon bladder, but Ultimate bladders are not very durable and the Screamer valve always leaks. I replaced mine with a Camelbak 3 liter bladder with a shut-off valve. 4 stars for the pack but only 2 STARS for the bladder.
