Designed to maintain body core temperature, MET5 is a solution to the multi-layering conflict found in cold-weather, intermittent activities. Unique new fabric from Malden Mills, Polartec® Heat™, features a network of very thin conductive filaments sewn inside the core. Heat panels produce bursts of heat to reach a temperature of 114° F at the high setting and 105° F of continuous heat at the medium setting. Single-hand control module inside the chest pocket gives you control of the jacket's heat; uses two 7.5 lithium rechargeable ion batteries. Lithium batteries are designed to power the heat source for 5 continuous hours on the medium setting or 2.5 continuous hours on the high setting. The control unit is comfortably situated in front pocket and the power pack is conveniently stored clear of pack straps, harnesses or other gear. Windbloc™ ACT laminate supplies excellent wind- resistance and breathability. PowerShield™ shoulders, forearms and waist enable the shell to be worn on its own; offers great durability and weather-protection. Wind Pro™ Stretch form-fitting hood fits under helmets and allows complete freedom of movement and doesn't hinder your peripheral vision. Wind Pro Stretch one-piece side panels and hobo mitts promote moisture evaporation and allow complete freedom of movement for high, upward reaches. Athletic cut keeps the heat in yet provides freedom of movement. Jacket is machine washable with battery unit detached
