Overview
The northeast ridge is a very simple hike that includes some class 3 scrambling if you choose to do so. You can keep the difficulty to class 2 if you choose to do so.Getting There
From the Steven's Gulch Trailhead, follow the Gray's Pk trail for about 1 mile through the willows to the turnoff to the Torreys/Kelso saddle. You may know this turnoff to be used to climb Kelso ridge on Torreys. This turnoff is marked with a cairn...another noticable object to note is that there is a old mine near the turnoff and is just below the saddle.Route Description
From the saddle begin to hike West up towards Kelso Mtn. There are some initial towers on the ridge but can easily be bypassed by dropping to the south (right) side of the ridge. If you choose to, you can climb the towers for som fun class 3/4 climbing.Once past the initial towers continue along the spine of the ridge towards the summit. You will encounter some false summits but the true summit has a cairn on it. Be sure to look behind you so you can take in the views of Torreys and Grays.
On the descent use the south slopes route, but stay to the right (west) so you will not get cliffed out.

Torreys ridgethe official unofficial name for this ridge is Torreys ridge since it is opposite the much more famous Kelso Ridge.

wrong side?It sounds as though the description is for the south ridge connecting kelso mtn with torreys pk. I thought the northwest ridge paralleled the north couloir, coming up from grizzly gulch..
