Approach

See the main page for the intricate directions to the trailhead. The easiest and highest access to the peak is from the northwest.

Route Description

From the "trailhead", which is really just a turn-around at the end of a steep hillclimb, follow the gently rounded Northwest Ridge. The ridge leads more or less directly to the top. The route is a little over a mile, and gains about 2,200'.

Essential Gear

Shoes and water. Water may be filtered from the creek. Maybe you could even drink it straight from the creek, I didn't see any cattle up there. There is snow here in the winter and spring, so plan accordingly to hike in those seasons.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
