Approach

The North Ridge can be climbed from its beginning on the south side of Perazzo Meadows or from the Mt. Lola Trail. For county highpointers, this route is used in order to tag Point 8844ft (Mt. Lola North) about a mile north from Mt. Lola along the ridge.

Route Description

The easiest way to tag both county highpoints is to take the Mt. Lola Trail to Cold Stream Meadow. Head west, cross-country up the steep hillside, climbing 1,000ft to the ridge. Mt. Lola North is the local highpoint along the ridge, almost due west from the meadow. The hike between Mt. Lola North and Mt. Lola is an easy hike along the more gently rising ridge.

With a bit more effort, the entire North Ridge can be climbed by crossing Perazzo Meadows and climbing the ridgeline where the trees are noticeable absent, starting here. A 4WD road zigzags a short distance up the ridgeline.
