Approach

From Scharnitz along the Hinterautal to Roßloch (preferably with a bike, very flat)

Route Description

From the eastern end of the Roßloch climb on a scarcely marked path into the Bockkar (markings of red paint, cairns, poles, yellow paint)
and to the bivouac shelter at 2495 m. From there on scree to the summit.
With a bike, the hike can be done in a long day (9-10 hours). It is also very nice to sleep in the bivouac shelter (6 bunk beds, sheets, no water, normally no snow in summer although the pictures might suggest the opposite)

Essential Gear

no
