Klettersteig SW ridge

Overview

This via ferrata is placed in the SW ridge of the Blauspitze. this was originaly a rockroute with hooks. This via ferrate is almost only iron cable with a few iron steps in it so you have to climb the rocks to climb this route. Its a nice route to do with a good feeling of altitude.

The route is difficulty A-D, whats makes it not the most easy one.
For the way back you can use the normal route.

Getting There

Same way as normal, to restaurant Blauspitze. Here you follow a small path in direction weisser knopf en right to the SW ridge. Look careful, this is not a very good visual path!!

Essential Gear

Helm, Climbing Harnass, via ferrata/klettersteig set, good shoes to climb rock, daypack wit food, water and clothing for all weather.
