Overview

This well organised and famous tourist location is situated in the center of the alps.
It's winter charm with abundant snowfalls offers the ideal terrain for adrenalin filled days in powder snow.
The two ski resort “Mottolino” and “Carosello-Costaccia” have one single ski pass and are connected by frequent ski buses which are free of charge. Both resorts offer a snowpark for freestyle lovers. This is why Mottolino’s park is among the best in Europe.

The valley of Livigno is oriented north to south; and all the offpiste routes are placed on both sides of the valley. “Carosello” and "Costaccia" side (west), higer, wider and a bit more sunny, affers longer routes, but the snow use to melt fast in the afternoon.
“Mottolino” side (east) due to its shady position, offers very good snow and steep woody flanks.

In this page will be listed 14 offpiste routes with different solutions.
All the routes will classified with a ski difficulty from S1 to S5 and fall risk from EXP 1 to EXP 3.

In case of heavy snowfall or adverse conditions, the local council of Livigno issues a decree which prohibits off-piste skiing unless accompanied by a mountain guide.
