These images are from a climb of El Bastardo, Burnt Peak, El Padre & La Madre Mountain in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area on May 17th, 2017. After summiting La Madre I traversed around the north side of that mountain hoping to reach East La Madre Peak and climb it but I ultimately did not have enough time to reach that summit. I started the day at the Willow Springs Picnic Area and finished somewhere on the edge of Summerlin at dusk. The effort took about twelve and a half hours.

The last few hours of my day were tough, but it was worth it because I got to see this beautiful band of Bighorn Sheep.
