We parked in the hiker area near the restaurant and hit the trail at 6:20. Full daylight but still in shadows from the high ridge until well up the trail. I'm old and I'm slow and live at sea level, so Trail #67 from Williams Lake trail to the summit was a real challenge - steep and rocky. We'd taken from Thursday to Sunday to get acclimated. My son and I made it to the top at 10:30 and were soon joined by at least 10 other hikers of all ages. Views were spectacular. A little rain was moving in from the northeast so we donned our ponchos and headed down the same way. The weather, except for a little drizzle on the way down, was perfect. Hardly any wind at the summit, very quiet and peaceful.
