Volcán Chingo is a symmetrical stratovolcano that straddles the Guatemala/El Salvador border. The 1775 mts high conical volcano rises 900 m above its surroundings and is the most prominent regional landmark. A shallow, oval-shaped summit crater is breached on the western side.
