Re: justahiker ?Thanks for smiles! :)
I don't know, we're probably like that. And scenery is really great, considering that this part of Europe is still pretty untouched. and unknown.
You obviously visited this region before. When? Where?

No,I was a seafarer of the Mediterranean Sea in 1976. Just
trying to put an end to the Cold War. The closest I visited
was in Greece. The people there were very friendly and happy
to see us, but that was 32 years ago. I am fascinated to
learn of the "travertine" deposits in your country. It is
my dream to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, which obtained
UNESCO World Heritage Site status, and was declared "mine-free"
in December 1998. Politics aside, I was surprised that the
natural dams separating the sixteen Plitvice Lakes are composed
of travertine, the same substance that we have here in central
Arizona, just 19 km from where I live with my wife, who immigrated here from southeast Asia, by the way. Puno hvala,
I really appreciate (warmly) the information (you give) regarding your
beautiful country. I will surely visit ... SOMEDAY!
