the original picture is a slide. After scanning I raised the contrast a bit and cut some parts of the picture so it is more than the original 200mm close-up.

Truly Amazing...I agree that it definitely has a dreamlike quality...I plan to visit this area next spring and wonder what month the mountain opens for hiking...this photo reminds me alot of a dawn shot I took from inside the Grand Canyon looking east a few years ago...not nearly as awesome as this one tho (http://www.summitpost.org/image/202889/A-Hazy-Dawn.html)
