Same buddies as East Tiger Mountain, we ascended this little hill. Again, good exercise.

Lush forest hike
Fifty seven minutes from the parking lot to the summit of West Tiger Three. Judging by the number of trail runners I was the slow guy on the trail today. The soil trail was a nice change from what I am used to in New Hampshire.

Did all three summits
Did all three though I avoided the top of West TIger #1 due to the radioactivity going on at the summit. Did this with EastKing and my friend Maane.

Interesting
The first time I went up it was easy, then when I was in better shape but hardly any sleep and traversed the whole mountain it was a bit of a challenge. So good sleep makes quite the difference.
Been trail running on Tiger for many years. High Point trailhead is a 30 minute run, mostly on trails, from my house.

Off-season training
No. 002, personal cimber's log.
Great hike for beginners like I was or for off-season training, goof wide trails and no danger from exposure or other hazards. When I hiked it 3 years ago the trail was good all the way up, not that I knew the difference at the time. It was still hard for me, but worth it.
Fun hike while visiting! I liked it a lot. It was a cool day, but the moisture in the forest made me wet and sweaty, big difference from my usual CA hikes.
Nice that the trail is up up up then down down down. Makes for a fun workout.

Enjoyable Hike
One week after hiking the Middle Tiger and East Tiger summits, I decided to venture up the three West Tiger peaks 1, 2, 3 (or perhaps 3, 2, 1... depending on which way you go). I went up the West Tiger #3 Trail to get to the three West Tiger summits, and down the Cable Line from West Tiger #3. I was disappointed that morning fog prevented any views from the summits, but at least it was nice to find an owl greet me in the early morning hours.
