Backpack
En route to Tower Peak we took a side trip to the Watchtower. Not very far off route and a fantastic view looking up to TP.

SW peak
we ran up the SW peak on our way down from Tower. The tougher NE peak looked exactly the same height...

Beacon route
Enjoyed the climb, despite the nasty upper gully. Cool position and nice direct route to the summit. Really want to go back and try some of the other routes which seem like they have a cleaner finish.

North summit, north face
Climbed the northeast face to the north summit (III, 5.7) in an apparent 1st ascent of this route. We found a pilot's rescue beacon, in the remains of its pouch, on a ledge about 2/3’s the way up. We also tagged the middle and south (highest) summits.
Two of our group climbed the north face (III, 5.7+) two days earlier and found no evidence of a prior visit to this summit. They left behind rappel anchors.

South Ridge
After the brutally long approach to Tower Lake and the climb of Tower Peak, we wanted to bag another summit for a greater sense of acomplishment. Fortunately, Watchtower was very, very easy but still fun. Good views of Tower Peak. Climbed with EJ on an overnight trip. 36 miles total.

Route from Tower Pass
Planned to climb Watchtower following an ascent of Tower Peak, but rain and lightening forced a hurried descent down off the peak. Attempted to climb it again the next day, but the same thing happened.
