Cool pic ...The male burro is a jack. The female is a jennie. What would a young burro be called??? Dean, I don't know if you've ever been to southern Nevada, but they have signs up all over the place warning people of burros. It would be nice if the burros had signs warning them of PEOPLE. My BURRO pictures are coming; I'll probably have them posted within the next few days. I think burros are a lot smarter than they look. In Nevada, they stand beside the roadway looking for hand-outs. I guess they don't care if they make an ASS of themselves! (In fact, they probably don't even KNOW what an ASS is!!!) Take care, Dean!!! - Larry :)

Re: Cool pic ...You do know your asses Larry. I didn't have any clue that a guy burro was a Jack or a gal burro was a Jennie. Funny, I thought of Jack Benny when I first read your comments. Thanks for the info, you always have interesting stuff.

Re: Cool pic ...Dean - Do you want me to get out my violyn?
Get it? Jack Benny, violyn...
Yes, guess you could say I'm fond of asses.
Jack Benny was no ass; the man had class!
Think I'll get some fresh air. Take care. :)

Very coolGreat picture Dean! Looks like they have a lot of space to roam around. They must love it. Nice to see the little one among them, too.

Re: Very coolThank you Anya, one of my rare animal pics but these guys were a showstopper. Just off the highway and great posers. Unfortunately we did see the remains of one burro that didn't clear the highway in time from the night before. Sad.

Re: Burro FamilyYou have a keen eye for burro's. She is quite lovely and she seems to be taken with you. What did you name her....

Re: You can see Pueblo MountainIndeed it is Pueblo. It is kind of nice knowing that it was just a few months ago that I finally stood on the top of that mountain with my good friend Bob Bolton and Dennis stood atop the high point on West Pueblo ridge on that same day. Great area.
