man....you barely missed this one. Almost a perfect photo. Without the greenish sun glare on on the mountain, this shot could easily be one of the best photos on SP. Still 4 stars, and thanks for sharing!

Re: man....Same impressions Kane, great shot! Unfortunately glare is unavoidable at that low angle of the Sun, when shooting at it. Maybe some lenses don't produce it, I'm not sure. If someone has a recipe for this photo disease I would be glad to hear it.

Rubber lens flare? If you are using a SLR type camera try using a rubber lens flare. It's a extension around the outside of the lens that helps block glare in the optics. But like you said shooting at that low of an angle it's almost unavoidable. Great shot though!!

Que?Well I think it look rather nice with a green glare. Kinda like flares myself and take pictures into the sun just to see what will happen! :)

Re: Amazing!!!Yeah, I know Acatenango volcano very well. I was climbed a huge of times. normally between april to december... So, is very interesting to me the position of the sun. I never seen before in this position. REALLY NICE!!

Great shot!Nice work!!
Christian, from Acatenango the sun rises directly over Agua in Feb and early March. Quite the spectacle with Agua and the ocean on the East and Lake Atitlan, and the big Guatemalan volcanoes to the West.
