Humid but beautiful
Hiked the AT+Mau-Har circuit starting from the trailhead at VA-56. I went counterclockwise (up AT and down Mau-Har), but I'd recommend doing the opposite, especially after heavy rain--the stream-soaked sections of the Mau-Har trail were a little slippery on descent. The views from the outcrops on the ridge were great, though. It was particularly cool to see The Priest from across the valley after hiking it earlier this spring.

Stout Hike
Climbed this along with Bee Mountain while doing the Three Ridges-Mau Har Loop, beautiful hike, great views of The Priest when the fog would clear briefly. Pretty warm for January.

Three Ridges Mau-Har Loop
Backpacking trip with great views and awesome weather.
This may be one of the most difficult hikes I've done. I did it as a day hike, starting and finishing at Reid's Gap parking lot. There are plenty of great views from Bee Mountain, and along Three Ridges. Campbell Falls is also worth a side trip from the Mau-Har. I was good and wrung out by the end of the day.

Amazing View
Went backpacking with a group. The switchbacks were tough but fun.
Crossed over Three Ridges on a gluton for punishment AT hike starting at the parking lot for Crabtree Falls, up over the Priest, across the Tye and then up Three ridges to end the trip at Reeds Gap.
I used to visit the summit of Three Ridges frequently while attending the University of Virginia. Nice views, few people, strenuous circuit.

No crowds today!
Hiked up Three Ridges on a cold morning along icy trails. Trees were covered in ice and the winter scenery was great. Trail was a little hard to find sometimes due to trees and bushes bent over from the ice and lots of fallen branches. Had been wanting to hike this one for some time now, finally made it!
