The view from the bottom of the Grand Canyon can be just as spectacular as the view from the top. This photo was taken from the Bright Angel trail, just west of the suspension bridge, April 2001.

Asparagus

Nice picture! Those yucas always look like giant asparagus just before they bloom.

Actually, that's an agave, also known as a Century Plant. In looking it up, I'm now not so sure it is a member of the yucca family. This site says it's a member of the Amaryllis family.

You could be right plugger. But look at the narrow, straight leaf. There are many kinds and variations of agave and yucca not listed in basic botanical references. I’m no expert, just fascinated by these things.

Zoroaster Temple

This is a great photo of Zoroaster Temple, perhaps the most popular technical climbing summit in the Grand Canyon. The Northeast Arête route is on SP.
