Awesomeness
Traversed over from Saddleback. Loved that open alpine rocky area between these two peaks. Lounged in the sun just off the summit before heading back. Hit the Caves on the way back but they were underwhelming. Camped again at Piazza Rock this night before hiking out the next day.

Epic wind
A few gusts while I was up here almost flung me on my ass. Only fifty seven minutes from the summit of Saddleback on one of the best open ridge lines I have ever seen.

Day Hike from Route 4 to the Horn
What a fantastic hike from route 4 to the Horn. Lots of fun. Could see forever.
The AT goes over it and so did I. Saw a HUGE Bull Moose next to the trail on the way. We both got quite the scare.

The Horn
Climbed with Saddleback via the Appalachian Trail from Route 4. A fantastic hike with miles of trail traversing alpine terrain. Great views of the entire Rangeley-Stratton Region from The Horn's rocky summit.

Great hike
I've been to the top more times than I care to count, but this is worth doing again and again.

AT over Saddleback
Took the AT over Saddleback to Horn, then back, maybe 14-15 miles RT. Below the alpine zone, the AT was very muddy.

Awesome ridgeThe entire ridge line is pretty spectacular. The view north into the heart of Maine's western mountains is one of my favorites.
