Re: Wow, An Awesome Photo,Thanks Marc! I really like the chunks in the pretty colored water. I wish the glaciers weren't falling apart though. It'll be sad when they're all gone, but they'll still be here for plenty of years. I wish you could be here and thanks for your great comment, it's very appreciated.

Indeed ...With names like Angel Wing and Salamander Glacier, this picture is simply outstanding!
Caleb, where does the water go? Does it end
up in the Columbia River system?
I wish there was a way to keep that glacier
"rock solid" for the next 20,000 years!

Re: Indeed ...Hey Larry thanks for your support! I wish there was a way to keep the glaciers too. The water is Upper Grinnell Lake which goes into the Missouri River and yes some goes into the Columbia River System.

Re: Indeed ...Larry, the sites here are east of the CD, and the water goes to the Missouri.

Re: Indeed ...Thanks, actually it was a "trick" question.
I love the Missouri, but so sad all of these
glaciers seem to be making it BIGGER!

Re: Indeed ...Bob, Larry...
The water in this photo does, I think, end up in the Missouri, but part of the GNP watersheds also end up in Hudson Bay, and both the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean (more info on the Triple Divide Peak page). And, of course, west of the divide empties into the Columbia River.

Where? This looks like the view from the overlook near Granite Park Chalet. I had attached this to the route page for the Garden Wall traverse there, but you seem to have detached it. Is the scene from somewhere else?

Re: Where?Sorry about that Bob that was my mistake. I accidentally detached it when I was trying to look at your route page. My apologies.

Re: Where? No problem-- I reattached it. A good picture, and it certainly helps the page.

Re: Grinnell Glacier OverlookThanks Steve. Yes I agree with you it was better to do the overlook instead of the original plan. Thanks for your comment and vote.
