Nice!!Holy hell, I hadn't seen that one in years. If memory serves I soloed it way back in the 90s, only to see the "soloing is punishable by a $500 fine" sign on the way down. Great shot!

Re: Nice!!So, where does the $500.00 fine go to ???
Is this on tribal land? Suppose there's a lot
of towers out there that have (indeed) been
climbed, but people remain anonymous to the
bitter end.
How's those Flagstaff peaks doing ???

Re: Nice!!GOod question... and I don't think it's tribal land; perhaps the fine has to do with too many folks getting hurt there or something? I don't know. Flagstaff's perfect, but my knees are not, so haven't been doing a lot of climbing of late... how about you? Getting up in the hills?

Re: Nice!!Yes, we need permits for lots of things.
Does anybody remember that movie where the
actor says, "I don't need no stinking permit!"
Well, apparently a permit is required here.
I'm planning a trip to Lockett Meadow soon!

Re: Nice!!Well for a change and in comparison with other world, permits are for free here in US & in other parts of the world you pay even for using a toilet.

Re: Nice!!Yes - I invite everybody to travel to the
South Rim of the Grand Canyon and see how
clean the "facilities" are up there.
They don't call it the RIM for nothing. : )

It really doesn't matterthat much anyway.
In the end, most of us will be soaring high
above some lonesome abyss as a raven.
And at that time, we don't need a permit.
