"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Great view from the topStarted from Big Mountain divide as part of a Meetup group. 10 miles and 4 hr 24 minutes. Saw a moose right by the parking lot at 9 AM. Lots of hunters looking for deer.

Big Mountain to GrandviewPopped up onto Swallow Rocks Peak on our way to Grandview. Fun little peak with interesting rock formations. Nice place to catch a breather on the way to Grandview.

GWTLots of flies at the summit but luckily the wind kept them at bay for long enough to enjoy the views

Swallow RocksFrom Big Mountain Pass along with Big Mountain South, Big Mountain, and on to Grandview Peak. Very fun hike along the ridge all the way to Grandview. Still a lot of snow along the way.

Great viewsSwallow Rocks--Nov/21/2012
Did Swallow Rocks (8901) from Big Mountain Pass but didn't realize 8580 was so close. I'll have to come back to get that one. Very windy day but otherwise nice. Used snowshoes for the last mile or so.
8580--Nov/24/2012
Came back today to do 8580. Surprised a Moose on the summit. It was a very nice and warm day and I actually saw a few other people. OK without snowshoes.

nice late fall hikevia Big Mountain Pass. Took about 1hr50min steady moderate pace to get there. Encountered a herd of sheep. Mostly dry, but soft mud & crusty snow in sheltered areas. Weather perfect!

Swallow RocksWe did this as a traverse starting from Big Mountain Pass. We hiked to Big Mountain, Swallow Rocks, Grandview Peak, and the Sessions Mountains Ridge Peaks. Then we hiked down to Mueller Park. This was a rewarding hike done in great weather.

From Little Dell Mormon Pioneer TrailI wanted to climb this earlier but East Canyon has been closed. It is still closed so I biked up Mormon Pioneer trail and ditched the bike behind a tree on GWT. Swallow was a lot longer than I thought so I had to run all the way back to make it to work on time. Enjoyed all 3 hills of the summit and coffee. I wish I had time to check the panoramic point. I hit Big Mountain on the way back. 3 deer, 1 snake, 1 horny toad. Great views of surrounding peaks like Grandview.
#2 - 7/18/15 trail run from Big Mountain Pass after Big Mountain
