We experienced very similar conditions Sunday on Saint Vrain Mountain in RMNP. Total white-out, navigating by compass only, honkin' winds, ice crystals pelting us, frosted over lenses, etc. I kept having to remind myself I was doing this "for fun". ;)
A time of reawakening! Geez, I hope you guys brought along your
thermos of hot coffee. Had heard that things were still a bit "nippy" over there in the big CO.
I just have a pair of Scott ski goggles, nothing fancy. They do a good job of not fogging up, though. Goggles are a must in CO in the winter and early spring.
