Enjoyed your report on this one. Yours is third GPS unit I know that has been lost by other SP members. I almost left mine on top of an Oregon peak but was able to climb back up and retrieve it.
A little tether cord is in order from now one. Loafer Peak is on my list as well as many others in the Provo area. Nice pics and map.
Thanks for the kind words. I'd like to make it up Loafer sometime, too. It's a shame that I didn't tag it one of the times that I attempted Santaquin since it's so close, but after all of the effort to get to Santaquin, those 300 extra vertical feet to Loafer seem unbearable. :)
Thanks for the tip on the tether. I think I might invest in one after I give Garmin a little more of my money... :( I'm almost positive that I had the GPS clipped to my shoulder strap, and that it got ripped off while crawling through some scrub oak. The clip was still attached to the strap, but the GPS was gone. A tether would have prevented that from being a problem.

great TRThanks for the TR, I especially appreciate your inclusion of stats on the trip.
Hope your GPS navigates its way home soon!

Re: great TRThanks! Remember that the time stats are a little inflated due to the GPS search. And yeah, I hope it navigates back, too.
