Taganay

Taganay ("pedestal of the Moon" from Bashkir) is a 50km long ridge in Southern Urals. It is not high (the topmost point is 1178m), covered by woods, but has a number of impressive rock features of very different appearance. For example, Echoing Ridge is a 1 km long, 100+ meters high ragged cliff formation, while Stone River is a huge boulder field, surrounded by woods and looking like a river with several tributaries.

The weather in early September, 2021 was far from the best possible, so the pictures of rocks prevail over landscapes.

Update: some pictures shot in October, 2022 added.
