Exploring Button Rock
Started at button rock TH at 6:30am. Didn't really have any plans for the day, just exploring. Took Sleep Lions to Professor to Smithy. Ascent up Smithy was a little tricky after the trail ended. Decided to descend on the western side and met up with the inlet trail. Had to get a little wet crossing the stream, but nothing major. Beautiful day and awesome trails.

Snow made it interesting while we were off-trail. Found our way to the summit. Mountain lion prints at the summit were neat...and scary.

From Button Rock TH
This was a fun hike with my wife. We had to navigate around some slick spots that were snow covered, which made an otherwise straight forward ascent more intriguing. Views were so-so from the summit with clouds building to the west. There were fairly new mountain lion prints in the dirt and snow just below the summit rock(s).
