Hiked down from summit of Mount Lemmon with Andy Bates.
Counted on finding water at Shovel Spring, but there was not a trace. Went on to Mule Ears and Samaniego anyway. AZB made it back
out in great shape. I survived ...
Route Climbed: Mt. Lemmon to south ridge Date Climbed: 10/13/05
For the most part this was a good hike, although the thorny, knee-high bushes got a bit annoying toward the end. The trail's easier to find now, having been marked by folks armed with pink ribbons, hiking symbols (nailed into trees), and the like. Still, neat summit with good exposure to the west, and a great day!
