Although we were some of the first people on top, the crowds were forming in a major way on our descent. Very crowded and relatively easy 14er. Saw some goats.
Climbed the standard route up the east ridge from Highway 9. There were several mountain goats up there. September is my favorite climbing month in Colorado and Wyoming. Happy Trails.
Started around 8AM. Perfect day. Lots of sun with little wind. Lots of mountain goats to say hi to. Some snow along the route just below the summit. Back at car around 1:30PM.

East Ridge Route
Started around 7AM. Lots of sun and little wind today. Snow was packed all the way to the top. Crampons were nice for the route down, but not necessary. Back at car around 12PM.
Climbed Quandary 3 times in the late 90s. Once was the standard route in summer, second time was standard route in winter, and third time was by the Inwood Arete.

A Fine Day with 500 Friends!
Quick up and down, although my attempt at a speedy descent was hampered by the parade coming up the trail. Worst crowd I have ever encountered on 14er!

Susan's 1st
From Breck with LeeAnne and Susan. Susan's first 14er. Left trailhead at 0505hrs, summit at 0800hrs. Great weather, beautiful views, and plenty of goats! Broke most of my climbing rules, even held a hand!

Good one!
Nice up and down. A little snow on top and a cool little summit marker. Breckenridge is the imaginary mountain town fairy tales are made from.

Busy East Ridge
Beautiful day and great adventure company from a girlfriend, so I cannot complain too much about the masses of humanity encountered up and down. Look forward to getting back sometime to go up a more challenging route. A couple apparently got married on top just as we arrived.

Was my first 14er
This was an awesome first climb! Managed to do it in a couple hours. I remember we didn't bring any proper hiking equipment so my father and I used sticks as trekking poles. Ran into lots of goats - they're pretty friendly. There were at least three or four false peaks on the way up.

Goats
Saw lots of goats on the hike up the standard route, which apparently is an ordinary sight.
This was my first fourteener, I did it just a couple months after moving to Colorado. Very nice peak, if I were to do it again, I would try the class 3 route on the opposite side of the mountain.

Fun and straightforward climb, even in snow. Weather was perfect, and summit views were excellent. Solo climb only took four hours round trip. Trip Report

Quandary Trail
CMC hike. This was my 5th time on The Q. It started out chilly, with flurries, but then the sun came out and it warmed up considerably. There was plenty of snow, and quite a few hikers on the mountain for early February. It took us about 5.5 hours, up and down. It was a pretty tough hike, but successful on a glorious day.

East ridge, ski descent
Snowshoed up, snowboarded down...wish I wouldve gone on a colder day...so much frustration in the soft snow at the bottom of the mountain. Still fun, nonetheles, was up and down in town to get a burger and beer in breck.
