Good to see this one!

Great work here and nice photos. I am glad to see this peak because I wanted to climb it when I lived in Tucson but never had info or the time. Maybe I'll make it back someday!

What I remember

most about the area are the "Shindaggers." One time I did step
on one directly, and ended up with a spine coming up through my boot. It's all worth it when you come across the Desert Bighorn
sheep that the state of Arizona transplanted to the area. When I see them, it always makes paying state taxes a little less painful. THANKS ROB!!!

My first hike in the area was up Pusch Peak with my mom in 1985. We went up the south side through lots of shindaggers and got a bit battered. On the way down we came right next to a herd of about 14 bighorns. It was a magical experience. This was before they vanished from the area, though so they must have all died in the coming years or migrated to a different range.
