Description

I have been Ice Climbing since winter 2007. Each winter since then I have spent time in Keene Valley, New York becoming better acquainted with the sport. This winter, now that I study in Colorado, I am looking to get more serious about the sport. Ideally, I would like to start leading toward the end of the winter. I do not have a vehicle, but I have all the necessary gear (including ice screws). I am looking for partners in Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, Summit County, and Vail (locales I can access with car pooling and public transportation). I have worked with the National Park Service for four years, and I have valuable backcountry skills to offer; I am even planning backcountry overnight trips this winter. I enjoy cooking, and would be happy to prepare food for any seasoned climbers willing to mentor me. If you are as excited as I am to get out as soon as the ice hits, then please write!

	I would love to climb with you if you are willing to show me a few tricks. I am still kind of new to the ice climbing game, but I really want to get into it this season. The hardest I've done so far is WI2 chopping steps w/o crampons in Switzerland. I now have all my own gear and am looking to really pursue the sport and take on some new challenges this season. LadyWawa	ice climbing
	I'd like to join you. I don't have a car either but my boyfriend does and we're both interested in some ice climbing practice. We don't really have much experience with ice climbing though so we're looking to learn from others mostly. We're pretty experienced snow climbers though!
