I live in the schweinfurt, DE area and am looking for climbing partners. I am also looking for experienced ice climbers/mountaineers who want to do some routes in the alps on the weekends. Just let me know.

LT89	Alpine climbing
	Hi, I'm looking for someone to go climbing with in the Alps as well, both mixed alpine climbing as well as purely technical ice climbing, especiall in the oncoming winter. I'm planning on going to the French Alps, around Chamonix, this winter, for a 1 or possibly 2 week climbing trip. If you would like to partner up with me, that would be great! I'm pretty experienced and have the whole range of necesarry gear for both rock and ice; ice axes/crampons, rope(s), cams, nuts/hexes, ice screws, schlings/quickdraws etc. I also have a high altitude mountaineering tent so bivying in the mountains would be possible as well for us, and my preferred way of spending the night before a big climb, just below the start of the route. Unfortunenately I don't have a car, and a trainride to the Alps for just a weekend is way too expensive, so I could unfortunenately only go for longer periods of time, that's the only way it would be worth. But if you would like to do some climbing during the winter when you have some time off(holiday for example), I'd love to partner up!

	Yah that sounds great. I am going to have to squeeze you in around various spots. I am in the military and my deployment date got moved up. I will be home in one year with lots of time to climb, and everything you just mentioned is exactly what i am looking for. That would be fantastic. however, we could possibly get some weekend ice trips in if your interested before i deploy in early december sometime. Just let me know. 	I'm from Schweinfurt...just came back after living in the states for 5 years....I'm going to the alps a lot...so maybe we can do some stuff together....I'm off to Switzerland for a week....eventually I wanna make to the Julian Alps/Slovenia this summer... Cheers, Matthias
