Description

Hello. New to the Bay Area and am excited to get on some long, technical alpine routes in the Sierra. Looking for someone with maybe a little more experience who can help further my multi-pitch skills on some classics.

I have lead a smattering of short 5.5/5.6 rock routes, multi-pitch ice up to WI3, high-altitude climbs in the Andes and some good ski mountaineering routes. I am a registered EMT, Avy II, with good over-all fitness. I have a solid rack, tools and all necessary equipment.

Wanted, classics like:

Swiss Arete, Mt. Sill
U-notch on North Palisade
North Ridge on Conness
Bear Creek Spire
etc...

Please respond with your experience, routes wanted and lets talk!

Hi, I will be East Bay-based from July 22 onward and have essentially all of July 22-August 15 free to climb in the High Sierra. I've done Swiss Arete but would gladly do that again, spicing things up perhaps with a traverse over North Pal to Agassiz; would gladly get on U-Notch too.

I also have wilderness first aid (WFR) and avi training. Have been at the Eastern Sierra alpine game for a while... My biggest limitation though is that I will be without a car upon moving to SF, but maybe you could come through there.

Fabulous. Let's get it together. I'm open the weekend of August 4th. That's out there a bit, but the way my life goes, I gotta get this stuff down on the calendar or it'll never happen. I put together a new little blog: www.sierra-alpinist.typepad.com the other day if you're interested.

I've got transportation, so thats not a biggie. Shoot me an email at mjdipietro@gmail.com and we can discuss. Thanks!

Hey dude,
living in Pleasant hill and searching for a replacement for my partner since she (my wife) is pregnant with our child.
Totally into trying out some more long moderate sierra's alpine routes.
have climbed a lot and am keen to share some KARMA from good (and few bad) experiences I have had along the way.
lets try and hook up - perhaps at the Touchstone concord gym or outside some eveing on diablo?
Cheers,
Vinny
