Second time summiting, this time with my cousin
Beautiful day! Added this one on to our backpacking trip to born, and summit of lonesome the previous day. Amazing weekend and pretty straightforward climb from the top of the pass.

Very easy peak!!
Extremely easy getting up this peak, and very straightforward route. This is a good one for beginners (even kids I would say). It snowed on us while we were up there and was very cold! Great view of Four Lake Basin and Castle Peak, as well as the Sawtooths. The views are fantastic for this being such an easy peak.

Tristan beats Dad to the top
A fun Class 2 with my son. Patterson gave him a few route finding lessons to consider for his next peak. Overcast with a touch of snow but the view of Castle, shrouded in a cloud, was stellar. We chose to take the shortcut near the pond at 9800 ft. to save time given the weather.
Dropped the backpack at Ants Pass on the way into Born Lakes. Memorable for the easy walk over to the summit, the myriad little blue flowers, and stunning views from a very comfy sitting spot on the summit.
Route Climbed: North East Ridge from Born Lakes: July/2004
An overcast day with occasional rain on my way through Ant's Basin to the Born Lakes cleared up just in time for a scramble up to Patterson. My climbing buddy and I made our way up to the saddle between the Born Lakes and Four Lakes Basin and took the NE ridge up to the summit. I pushed myself so hard to beat him to the summit (he always wins!) that I was exausted when I got there, but just edged him out. :) We continued hiking the ridge to the south and curved around to Peak 10960, found a route down to Glacier Lake and side-hilled it back to the saddle and back to camp.
Three of us made the trek from Fourth of July TH to Blackman Peak and then hiked the ridge up to Patterson. Good views of Sawtooths and Castle. Easy route to summit both peaks.

Good FunFun ridge traversing and great views. Good alternative for getting higher compared to Sawtooths that are still snowbound at higher elevations.
