Atom Smasher

This is Simply the Finest Pack for ANY climber. Whether you are top-roping, leading some pitches at the local crag or cranking a route that will take all day THIS IS THE BAG TO TAKE ALONG. It is Simple, Durable, has Ample Volume and most importantly is comfortable to carry and a Joy to haul. Draw cord & draw string closures means no zippers to blow out. The material that FISH uses is incredibly durable and resistant to abrasion and cuts. The one that I now have has made more than 150 ascents of Devils Tower!! That means that it has been hauled for nearly 20 miles !! And its ready for another season !! (Imagine dragging YOUR pack behind the car for 20 miles.....). The 2400 cu.in. volume allows you to PUT EVERYTHING IN THE BAG, Not strapped to the outside, water bottles dangling and swinging, with the rope over your shoulder and your lunch falling out of your pocket. FISH (Russ Walling) is acutely into comfort, so the shoulder straps and waist belt are very padded and rapidly detachable for hauling. The haul straps, and straps both inside and out for accessory clipping, are extremely strong and sturdily stitched(Russ's Pride).The relatively narrow profile of the bag, 12" wide, makes hauling a breeze!!
I advise that the Deluxe model, with the extendable nylon sleeve at the top, is surely the WAY TO GO. It not only allows you additional volume but, insures a bomber closure, so that loose nut tool won't fall out!!!!!!....... I have spent decades using packs that were too small to hold all the gear, uncomfortable to carry and were rapidly self-destructive in the hauling. This Excellent Product is NONE OF THOSE. !!!!!
