Product Description

Per John Bachar:
The basic concept of this shoe is that it should be super comfortable while being able to handle all types of climbing equally well – slabby edgework, all types of cracks, long routes and boulder problems. It should be as comfortable for the beginning climber as it is for the expert without loss of performance. The Aztec achieves all these goals while using classic elements such as unlined first class split hide leather uppers and top quality polymer midsole materials in combination with our unmatched last shaping experience and methods. A lot more goes into this shoe than first meets the eye as you will discover when you try out a pair on your feet.- and more importantly on the rock!

Personal Experience

These are my primary Backcountry and multi-pitch FA shoes. They are light, well fitting(comfi) and very sensative. I changed the rubber on them to Vib XSV Grip as it is my rubber of choice. Great all around comfortable shoe that performs well in all situ's. Two thumbs up in my book. Oh, be advised that some ACOPA's shoes run small. I actually got a full shoe size larger than normal in these and they fit like a glove and are totally comfi the entire day on any route.
