Re: Excellent ShotYes, and that was the only photo we took on that very cold day on Jan 8. Frank shot the photo with one hand while tied off to an ice screw and the camera was tilted a bit making the photo look steeper than it actually was. However, in 1976 the face and gully held a lot more ice than it does now and the angle has decreased as a result. By 1990 half of the ice cover on the North Face was gone.

2010Thought I my partner and I were gonna tag it but he chickened out at the crux move. Was so disappointed that I was so close without a summit.
