cool photoAwesome shot! What time did you have to start to capture this moment? I've looked into the Presidential Traverse...how was it-long?

Re: cool photoThanks! We started on the Valley Way Trail just before 2:00 in the morning. I took this shot on the summit of Madison around 5:30.
The traverse was nice. Weather so warm(61 degr on Mt. Washington) we were wishing for more wind. An unusual occurence up there. We hit all the summits from Madison to Pierce, then went down the Crawford Path. About 20 - 21 miles altogether, but is probably the equivalent of 30 trail miles out west. Don't underestimate the difficulty of hiking through jumbled rocks the entire way! We finished around 5:00 in the afternoon, I think. That included plenty of stops along the way for photos and a chilli-dog at the summit of Washington.
