First successful peak of 2014
Great scrambling on mount ward. Incremental weather that day but we really wanted to peak and made it happen. Nat's sisters all came but wood and I were the only ones who made the summit. Managed to get a beautiful picture of a rainbow going into window mountain lake. One of my best photos to date.

W Slopes / SW Ridge Normal Scramble
With Moni on a cold and VERY windy day as she describes.

Windy day
It's a beautiful hike and the walk along the final ridge to the summit really nice. However, it was blowing hard enough to knock me down on one occasion so that any thoughts of continuing on to Allison where quickly put out of mind. It snowed down to tree line the following night.

Fun scramble
Karen and I had enjoy the hiking, the lake views and the easy plod to the summit along with the beautiful weather.

Mount Ward
Cameron joined me for Mount Ward, then I soloed on to Allison Peak and Window Mountain. Fantastic weather and a fun and worthy objective to do whilst waiting for my MCL to heal. 4.5 hrs from the Window Mountain Lake trail head back to my car on the main ranch road. Goats, bears and limestone arches...does not get much better.

Scramble
A great area to explore. Couldn't complete the traverse that day due to wasted knees, but went back to finish the other peaks on the ridges later.
Definately a nice way to spend a day in the Crowsnest Pass. Met some great people going to and from the lake and had a summit to myself on a beautiful late afternoon in September. Just what I was looking for that day!
