Approach
South West trail head. Map reference Mount Rose NV, 7.5 minute USGS.
Route Description
The first 2 miles is on your basic jeep road, where people hike or mountain bike. The trail turns to the right entering into a meadow this is the start of the Mount Rose Wilderness area. You will the cross Galena Creek and the trail starts to get mildly steeper as you head towards the saddle where it will turn right again, this is where the trail really gets steep as you are appraoching the summit.
