Date is a guess. Came up from S Cascade River & Drop Creek. There's some high quality wilderness for ya. And like any peak on the Ptar Traverse, mind-boggling view.

Climbed from camp at Kool-Aid Lake. Route was mostly snow with some scrambling. On the Ptarmigan Traverse.
Tom Walter dragged my arse up and down this thing so fast, I knew he really would rather have been back at the tent having a slow morning with Maggie Gordon. RIP, Tom. You were the greatest! BTW, the NOLS course changed my life. It was too good to end, so when it was over, I dropped out of law school and met two of my classmates in Yosemite Valley for climbing all September. (Hi Cozzie and Theo!) Then on to six years of the ski bum life in Tahoe. Never looked back. Best decision I ever made!
