Took three and a half hours from the parking area at St Heberts, which included a side trip to see the view from Indian Head. The side trip is well worth it.

Welcome to Narnia
Hided with my son and husband. Brilliant blue skies, no wind, 6 foot base and 6" fresh powder. The trees looked so pretty draped in sparkling clean white fluffy snow. Hiking Blake and Colvin together in one day. Camped overnight. Could be my most favorite winter hike so far.

Great Views
Hiked up Colvin on a beautiful fall day. 3 hours from the parking lot and well worth the hike up. The views across the Ausable Lakes were amzing, some of the best I've seen. I could've stayed up on the summit all day! There is also a great lookout just past the summit. Did the Colvin/Blake combo today, but will probably come back to Colvin (not Blake, sorry)just for the views. 10 hrs r/t with Blake.

Hiked Mount Colvin 4057' after summiting Nippletop during a two day backpacking trip staying both nights at the Indian Pass campsite. Was much easier than Nippletop and had a less spectacular view but was well worth hiking that weekend.

So Miserable
My climbing team and I weren't ready for the 14'' of fresh powder, so breaking trail trough a foot of snow in 10 degree temps without snowshoes or microspikes was brutal, absolutely brutal. We hit the summit for a brief moment and turned around to start the slide down the Mtn.

Colvin / Blake
A fun climb with Blake. Not much snow on the ground, so the peak was a bit icy. But beyond that, a pretty typical ADK peak.

trail breaking nightmare
This was one of the most difficult ascents that I have ever done to date. With over 4 feet of fresh snow on the upper slopes, breaking trail took all of what I had too give. After several false summit hopes I finally peaked out at around 4 pm.I was glad to have made the summit, but unfortunately Blake was out of the question at this time....JW

Raining Leaves
Hiked up from AMR, sun changed to high clouds and little sun, but great views up and down the valley. Visited Fish Hawk Cliffs and Indian Head on the way out. Leaves everywhere.
Hiked a long time ago with my parents, but I have to go back because they didn't want to hike Blake also!

Easter Sunday/Opening Day
This was my first big hike of the year. It was a cloudy day, and there were flurries for almost the entire hike. You could still see the Great Range from the top, but it was a crummy view because of the weather. I wore my microspikes, which were a big help. Saw no one else on the trail. It beats hanging out with boring relatives. It was nice to get some winter, while it is spring by my house.

Mount Colvin
Climbed with Blake via the Colvin Trail from the Ausable Club. Hiked this mountain during the absolute peak of fall foliage. Awsome views of the Great Range across Lower Ausable Lake from the summit. We only stayed on the top for a little while as cold winds and chilly tempertures forced us to keep going.

What a beautiful day in the Dacks. The fall colors were beautiful! Hiked this one with Paul--we summited Blake as well. What a trip to break in new boots! : ) 5/46
