Dayhike from Onion Valley. One goes through nice scenery on the way there. The views from the top are incredible. Otherwise, not much to write home about. Trip report.

Mount Bago for the morning
Overnight at Charlotte Lake before exiting via Kearsarge Pass. Just had to climb one more. Nice morning climb from the east side of the lake and keeping just left of the rocky outcropping. Enjoyed the colorful transition in the rock during the ascent and the view up to Forrester Pass.

Solo day during Sierra Challenge 2015
A nice stroll from Onion Valley over Kearsarge Pass while many SC2015 participants were over in the White Mountains. A bit hazy atop the summit and points west due to the Rough Fire, but views were still worthwhile to say the least.

Nice Day Out
Pretty warm but skeeters weren't too bad. Needed an easy day for knee recuperation. Tagged Bago via traversing the bowl to east ridge then tagged square-bouldered peaklet SE of the summit. Fun Class 4 over there!

An enjoyable shoulder season hike. Little to no snow until the north slope leading to the summit. Wondered who left the footprints in the snow. The register revealed they were left by Doug Mantle. His 8th ascent. Remarkable given that he has climbed the SPS peak list 7 times. Guess he is working on 8.

Climbed from camp near the JMT junction. The cornice was still there, so we had to climb up the north summit first. Great peak! Beautiful views of the area.
