looks likea really cool area for easy hiking and experiencing some wilderness. Fresh snow, waiting for winter here as well

Re: looks likeYes, a fine area... not too difficult, but still can enjoy some fierce winter conditions on top and a leisurely stroll at lower elevations. Best of all worlds, actually :-).

I am backHey long time! I am back-long horrible story. And I have a Mount Mitchell to cross off my bucket list. What are conditions like in November?

Re: I am backHi Karen. Glad to hear from you. Well The Black Mountains above 6000 ft can have high tempeartures anywhere from the 20s to the 50s with sun, rain, or snow in November. At the lower elevations 40s to the 70s. Let me know if you want to arrange a hike. David
