What a view
All pines and cedars until the summit boulders. Fantastic 360 view.
The trail fades somewhat on the ridge. A solo hiker that was way ahead of us missed the turn and went too far north. He arrived at the summit 10 minutes after us. GPS track helps.
Did this trail hike with the Central Valley Hiking Group, a local MeetUp group. Fun short trail to a great panoramic view of the Sequoia Kings Canyon peak area.

Clouds in the east
A nice warm-up hike before a 5-day BP trip up the High Sierra Trail. Only saw 2 other people on this Thursday afternoon.

Wondeful Mountain
My wife and I hiked this on a Thursday late July 2009 and had the trail and peak to ourselves the entire day. Solitude, great views, warm sun and cool breeze - couldn't ask for more.

Thanksgiving Fun
A quick trail run with the dogs before Thanksgiving dinner. Awesome views in every direction on a clear day. Snow blanketed the Sierra just a couple of days later for some nice views from the great valley.
A wonderful hike, mostly through shaded forest, rewarded by
outstanding views from the rocky summit of the Sierra skyline filled with an impressive array of peaks. Highly recommended.

Warm-up Hike
Walked up this on a warm-up day, before heading out to Glacier Ridge on Sunday. Fairly decent views, especially of Milestone et al. There was a huge crowd of people up on the summit when I was there...

A great hikeA great hike to one of the best views I've ever seen. Afterwards, I went to Rowell Meadows which was really nice too.
